Groveland Highway Department Seeks Full-Time Senior Operator/Driver/Laborer

GROVELAND 一 The Town of Groveland announces that the Groveland Highway Department is seeking a full-time Senior Operator/Driver/Laborer. 

The Senior Operator/Driver/Laborer should be able to operate heavy machinery, assist with construction and maintenance projects for the town, and perform a variety of laborer functions, including patching roads and mowing lawns.

Applicants must hold a valid CDL Class B license or greater with air brake endorsement, DOT medical certificate, and a Hoisting Engineer License 2B or greater.

Pay ranges from $27.26 to $30.31 per hour. The position is for 40 hours per week.

Groveland Board of Health Offers Free COVID-19 Test Kits to Residents

GROVELAND 一 The Town of Groveland is pleased to announce that the Groveland Board of Health is offering free COVID-19 test kits to residents.

Test kits are free and will be available for pick-up starting Monday, Oct. 3 at Town Hall, 183 Main St., during normal Board of Health hours.

The Groveland Board of Health is open Monday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Tuesday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Town of Groveland Seeks Part-Time Library Page for Langley-Adams Library

GROVELAND 一 The Town of Groveland announces that it is seeking a qualified, part-time Library Page for the Langley-Adams Library. 

The Library Page will be responsible for maintaining the book collection by shelving and assisting with library programs. Applicants should be able to adapt to new technology, work as part of a team, conform to new policies and procedures, and interact with patrons at the circulation desk.

Candidates must have the ability to manage multiple tasks, strong communication skills, the ability to organize, and work independently and with others. Pay is $14.25 per hour, for 5 to 9 hours a week, including alternating Saturdays.

Groveland Highway Department Seeking Applicants for Senior Laborer

GROVELAND — The Town of Groveland would like to announce that the Groveland Highway Department is seeking a full-time Senior Laborer. 

The Senior Laborer will perform manual labor of maintenance projects, including building and repairing streets, and maintaining sidewalks. Other tasks include operating trucks, hauling gravel, and assisting in the maintenance of town fields and irrigation systems.

Applicants should have the ability to operate heavy machinery and considerable knowledge of the materials, methods, and safety precautions relative to street construction and maintenance. Applicants also should have the ability to work under varying weather conditions.

The Senior Laborer will work 40 hours per week and must hold a Class 2B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with air brake endorsement and Class 2B Hoisting Engineer’s License or greater. Possession of a 4G Hoisting License is preferred.
