Council on Aging Outreach Coordinator – November 2022

The Town of Groveland is seeking a qualified part-time (10-18 hrs/wk) Council on Aging Outreach Worker. Responsibilities include but are not limited to planning, coordinating and provision of social and home services to elders in need or at risk and their families both within and outside the environs of the Groveland Council on Aging.  Applicants should have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working with the public.  Ability to exercise judgment, discretion and tact is essential.  Must be CORI screened and approved.  Associates Degree and/or three years experience in Human Service, Social Work, or other related field is required as is knowledge of elder programs and services in the Merrimack Valley area, and ability to work collaboratively with other departments / agencies.  Assessment, time management and record keeping skills a must.  Proficiency with MS Office software and familiarity with “My Senior Center” a plus.  Hourly rate of pay is $ 17.87/hr and is not benefit eligible.  Resumes will be reviewed as received.  Position open until filled.  Send letter of interest and resume to  AA/EOE.

Council on Aging Hiring Committee- November 2022

The COA is looking to fill 7-9 hiring committee positions. These positions are volunteer positions and hours are flexible.

Responsibilities include attending COA committee meetings. Background in in senior or human services and municipal government is encouraged but not required.

Library Page – November 2022

Langley-Adams Library is looking to fill a part-time Library Page position. This position ranges from between 5 – 9 hours per week, and includes after-school hours and occasional weekend hours. The current wage for this position is $14.25/hour with no benefits.

This position includes shelving returned materials, working the circulation desk, and doing odd jobs as assigned by the Library Director, Youth Services Librarian, and Adult Services Librarian. Applicants should be able to adapt to new technology, have the ability to work as part of a team, adapt to new policies and procedures, and have the ability to interact with patrons at the circulation desk.

Highway Department Senior/Operator/Driver/Laborer – September 2022

The Town of Groveland Highway Department is seeking qualified candidates to fill (1) full-time position (40-hour week) of Senior/Operator/Driver/Laborer. Interested individuals must be holders of a valid CDL Class B license or greater with air brake endorsement, DOT medical certificate, and a Hoisting Engineer License 2B or greater.

Council on Aging Director – August 2022

The Groveland Council on Aging is seeking a qualified full-time (37.5hrs/wk) Council on Aging Director. This position oversees all aspects of Elder Affairs for the Town of Groveland. The Director identifies programs, services and activities that enable Groveland elders to be active participants in the community. The Director also advocates and educates the community on this unique population. The Director sets goals and objectives yearly, and is responsible for supervisory, fiscal and administrative work associated with the COA. 

Salary: $65,000/year DOQ;
Benefit eligible.
