Residents Encouraged to Plan Ahead for Sumner Tunnel Closure Beginning July 5

Town Administrator Rebecca Oldham and the Town of Groveland would like to remind community members to plan ahead as the Sumner Tunnel will be closing next week.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation will be closing the Sumner Tunnel for eight weeks starting Wednesday, July 5 to Thursday, August 31. 

Travel to and from Boston will be impacted as a result of the tunnel closure. Community members who commute to and from Boston should plan ahead as travel patterns will change.
