School St & Salem St Signalization
School St & Salem St Signalization
This need for this project was identified through traffic studies showing that this was a dangerous intersection (I think I’m remembering this correctly?). Additionally there was additional need for this project with the 194 new units that will be built at the old quarry site at Sewell Street.
While the signals are up and functioning, the project still includes repaving of the intersection as well as the installation of a hardwired (not solar powered) rapid flashing beacon at Ashcroft Terrace.
Funding
Funding for this project was received through a grant from MassWorks.
Latest Updates
The contractor for this project will be returning in the Spring to repave the intersection.
