Town Administrator Rebecca Oldham is pleased to share that the Groveland Select Board recognized Girl Scout Daisy Troop 64466 Monday for providing artwork to the inaugural art display in Groveland Town Hall.
Eleven Daisy Scouts from Troop 64466 were recognized with certificates at the beginning of the Select Board’s Monday night meeting.
Troop 64466 created artworks depicting important buildings in Groveland, such as Town Hall, the Fire Station, and the Bagnall School, for display in what is planned to be an ongoing series of art displays in Town Hall. The project is a partnership between Town Hall and the Langley-Adams Library.
“I am most impressed by the creativity and attention to detail that the girls put into this project, entitled “Our Community,” said Langley-Adams Library Youth Librarian Bergen Daley, who helped organize the display. “I thought it was very timely for our first installment to feature important buildings, offices and people in our community.”
“This project brings vibrancy into Town Hall, and is the perfect first installment to be displayed here at Town Hall,” said Town Administrator Oldham. “We could not be more appreciative of the Daisies and their hard work.”
